Boratas dewatering screens help decrease moisture content from sand or sand-sized materials. A mixture of solids and water is fed downhill onto an inclined screen surface to accomplish quick drainage. A pool of water forms as solids accumulate on the inclined area that moves material upwards to the discharge area.
Solids are moved upwards while water drains through the screen media thanks to a linear motion created by counter-rotating motors. A filter medium is created thanks to the uphill slope and the discharge weir, where retention of finer solids than the screen media aperture openings is allowed. Dewatered sand goes to the end weir and discharges from the machine.
Advantages:
- High feed rates
- High reduction in moisture
- Protection against wear and corrosion
- High reliability
- Strong and robust design
